Praise GOD for answering our many prayers for Dan Apperson's month long stay in the hospital and for his wife, Vicki as she stayed by his side. THEY ARE Happy to be home now, but he is still very weak and not up to visitors quite yet. Let us continue the prayer vigilence for his improving strength and return to our BCC family.
Shall we try this again? Most of last weeks update is really happening THIS SUNDAY. We wear red... geraniums will (should) be gracing our alter. Imagine my surprise on June 2 when I and only a few more had on red and the alter was empty. Except for when the choir filled it and sang the best song ever! (I say that each time, but it is true!) And then the kiddies came up as Pastor Ron explained the dishes on the table were simple glass... not silver... because we are simple folk as were the diciples who sat at the table so long ago. I always look forward to taking Communion, but having us walk forward, take the offered bread and dip it into the "wine" seemed more meaningful. Please ...Come join us Sunday, June 9 for one combined service at 9:30 am. OH.. and wear RED. We'll meet you there! BUT we did have a simple communion consisting of us reverently approaching the alter, taking bread and dipping it into a chalice of juice... my favorite method for remembing Christ's body and blood.
Jazz on Jefferson happens this week in Saginaw on Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. Our church musician, Troy Kiel, plays will be playing with the Scott Tuttle Quartet near the Castle Museum. Great music, vintage cars, food vendors, free stuff!

Funeral services for Elizabeth “Beth” Rustem will take place on Monday, May 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St., Bridgeport. Beth’s family will receive visitors at Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St., on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
If you are experiencing grief because of the loss of a loved one you are invited to enter a caring process on Monday's at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Ron Sinclair is guiding the meetings that began April 22nd. The group will utilize a weekly video with a discussion accompanied by a workbook that is used at the meetings and during the week.
After second service tomorrow we will have a Spring Clean-up of our parking lot and grounds. Please join in the fun and fellowship as we make our church beautiful. Thank you in advance for your help.

Not much sadder news can be shared. Peggy Ashmall isn't with us any more. Pray for Don, Wendy and her family, and this church family who have lost a dear one today. Peg who, no doubt, is in the arms of the Lover of her soul and our souls is not experiencing this pain. Soli Deo Gloria.

Great to GREET SPRING again. Daylight comes sooner, we can pack away heavy coats and switch to light jackets or sweaters and sing our way into early (8:30 ), adult Sunday School (9:30),or reg (10:45) services! Please join us now... before the crowd on Easter Sunday!
I have enjoyed leading the Children's Message the last Sunday of the month since January. I have added my flavor to them by sharing my songs in American Sign Language. We only have a few minutes, so I know it is not enough time to really TEACH the signs, so I am sharing this website (YouTube) showing /teaching church words signed by a famous tv hostess, Rachel with colored tape on each finger. Lily ordering time again! Seeing the altar filled with these beautiful white plants brings such peace and purity to the Easter passion and glory of Resurrection morning. Let's do this! Fill out the order for one or more in honor of those we still have with us or the ones we've lost. Then, with the rising sun and remembering Jesus rose again and so will all who live and die embracing His promise of being united again.
On Wednesday, March 20, at 7 p.m. some of our Men & Media guys plan see "They Shall Not Grow Old" at the Court Theater. The film is about soldiers who served in WWI. We'll meet at BCC at 6 p.m. to share a ride. Hope you can join us.
